We all know what a family portrait looks like on the beach: khaki pants, white shirt … And hey, I am not here to say there is anything wrong with these, as they are lovely and I have my own set that I cherish. But, sometimes you want something a little more personal or reflective of your family, something that reflects the uniqueness of your nearest and dearest. Photographer Ashley Hylbert has answered the cry with the launch of her Zietgiest portraits.
“The Zeitgeist (spirit of the age or spirit of the time) is the intellectual fashion or dominant school of thought that typifies and influences the culture of a particular period in time.” -Wikipedia (just in case you’re like me and didn’t know that exact definition off the top of your head). In this case, the Zeitgeist spirit defines your family’s particular period of time, captured forever.
You are likely already familiar with Ashley’s work–she’s our FACES of Nashville photographer and her images grace our site each Monday. But, these portraits showcase her talents in a whole new way. No worries if you are stressing about how you and your family would pose. Ashley will meet with you and help you come up with a game plan.
